20 week ultrasound- a sweet yawn where you can definitely tell he has Daddy's lips

This was Baby Boy's first ultrasound experience in Michigan. The special part about this one was that it was our anatomy scan to make sure everything looked healthy on baby, but also that Daddy is on his OB-GYN rotation in school right now, so he got to perform the actual ultrasound!! As medical students we would have been proud to show all his functioning organs and his brain and aortic arch and such... but they don't exactly print those out for you to take home :) I doubt many other parents-to-be would be as interested as we are! We were so lucky and got to see our boy for a solid hour while Brian, the resident, and another student took turns trying out the ultrasound on a very willing and understanding patient. :) We didn't mind at all though, because it just meant more time seeing him on the screen! He is definitely still a little boy! We were all looking at the screen at one point and he did a spread eagle, and we all at the same time (me, Brian, the midwife, and the resident) said, "WOH!" :) Good for him! He is also still very active! Without knowing what our doctor before has said, the midwife and resident both commented on how active he was and how it was really hard to get good pictures because of how he was all over the place!

Some new things we learned about our little one...
-He looooves to snuggle. Every time we see him, he is holding on to the placenta at the back of my uterine wall. He is always cuddled up to it! Even with our regular doppler appt at 22 weeks, you could barely hear the heartbeat because he's so far in the back and snuggled up. :)
-We think he has his Daddy's jawline.
-He has his Daddy's very prominent and German eyebrow line and jaw line.
-He has his Uncle Scott's (Daddy's brother) forehead
-He has his Daddy's lips
(... can you see who we think this kid is going to look like??)
-BUT! We think he has my nose. :)
-He still has attitude! As can be seen by the sticking-out-his-tongue picture. :)
